Football Recruiting Update: Oct. 2, 2013

IU commit Delroy Baker will make his official visit this weekend and IU will host at least six other recruits in what will be a light recruiting weekend because of the early kickoff time.

At least one player will be making an official visit to IU on Saturday for the Penn State game and several others will be on hand for unofficial visits.

The official will be made by one of IU's 12 committed players in the class of 2014.

Offensive tackle Delroy Baker, a 6-6, 270-pound lineman from West Port High School in Ocala, Fla., will be in Bloomington for the IU-Penn State game which kicks off at Noon.

One big target from the class of 2014 that will be at the game is Tegray Scales, the linebacker from Cincinnati Colerain. He will also be joined by a few of his high school teammates.

The 2015 recruits expected to be on hand include QB Jimmy Fitzgerald from Champaign (Ill.) Centennial, OL Evan Mallory from Brownsburg (Ind.), OG Simon Stepaniak from Hamilton (Ohio) Ross, TE Billy Eyer from Minerva, Ohio and S Mykelti Williams from Indianapolis Warren Central.

The visit list is smaller this week because of the 12 p.m. kickoff which makes it more difficult for players to travel that played high school games on Friday night.
