Tracking the True Freshmen: Penn State

T.J. Simmons and Marcus Oliver were two of Indiana's freshmen who were big pieces in the team's defensive effort on Saturday. Read about all of them here:

One of our weekly features in our postgame coverage is to take a look back at how Indiana's true freshman performed in Saturday's game.

Six freshman saw the field in the Hoosiers' 44-24 win over Penn State.

This is how they fared:

T.J. Simmons started at linebacker and had seven tackles, as well as two pass breakups.

Marcus Oliver also made seven tackles, including assisting in a tackle for loss.

Antonio Allen had four tackles for the defense. This brings his tackle total to 15 in the past three games.

Darius Latham recorded a single tackle.

Danny Friend played but didn't have any statistics.

Clyde Newton played but didn't have any statistics.
