It was another big basketball recruiting weekend in Bloomington for Hoosier Hysteria. Here are some quick updates on several players that are in town that you won't find anywhere else.
***Devin Robinson's official visit ended earlier Sunday. The 2014 four-star forward is Indiana's primary target in that class at this point, and his visit went well. Robinson, a 6-foot-8 forward, has already visited Notre Dame and Oklahoma State and has visits scheduled to Florida and Connecticut in the next two weeks.
Robinson received a standing ovation when he walked out on the floor with assistant coach Kenny Johnson at Friday's Hoosier Hysteria and the fans chanted, "We want Devin! We want Devin!"
Robert Johnson, Indiana's lone 2014 commit and a good friend of Robinson's, wasn't able to make the trip for the weekend, but he received texts from Robinson Friday night tell him "how crazy" the event was.
Robinson spent a good portion of his visit with 2015 five-star forward Malachi Richardson, the Hoosiers' top target in that class.
***Richardson's second unofficial trip to Bloomington lasted longer than his first. He arrived in town on Friday with his mom and brother and didn't leave until late Sunday afternoon. Richardson, a 6-foot-5, 175-pound guard from Hamilton (N.J.) is the third-ranked small forward in the 2015 class.
Richardson watched three Indiana practices during his visit. A source told AllHoosiers.com that Richardson's college decision will come soon and that he could make an announcement within the next month. Indiana is believed to be the leader for Richardson, but he also has offers from Arizona, UCONN, Florida, Georgetown, Miami, Ohio State, Syracuse and Villanova.
***Braxton Blackwell, a 2016 forward from Nashville (Tenn.), also had a two-day unofficial visit. He left Bloomington after watching the Hoosiers practice on Saturday night. Blackwell, 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, is the eighth-ranked small forward in the class.
***There's a new name to know in the Indiana recruiting world. Javin Montgomery-DeLaurier, a 2016 forward from Charlottesville (Va.), was in Bloomington over the weekend for an unofficial visit. Montgomery-DeLaurier is a 6-foot-8 forward.
Will have more updates from this weekend on Monday.
