Robinson finishes visits, to decide soon

2014 forward Devin Robinson took an official visit to Florida over the weekend. Now, it's time to make a decision.

Devin Robinson has taken all of his official visits. Now, it's time to make a decision.

Multiple sources tell that Robinson will make his decision sometime in the next week.

The 2014 forward from Christchurch School in Virginia was at Florida over the weekend for the final of four visits. Robinson previously took trips to Notre Dame, Oklahoma State and Indiana, in that order.

The Gators didn't have a home football game over the weekend nor did they host a Midnight Madness event. Because of those things, Robinson's visit to Gainesville was quite different from the one he took to Bloomington for Hoosier Hysteria.

"A lot more time spent with coaches and players," said Robinson's high school coach, Ben Thompson. "They were very different. Devin has said all his visits have been good. He's gotta do some soul searching now."

Robinson, the fifth-ranked power forward in the class, is Indiana's top remaining target for 2014. IU and Florida are currently leading the race for Robinson, according to a source.

Robinson is a close friend of Robert Johnson, who committed to Indiana last month. Johnson and Robinson live in the same neighborhood and grew up together. Johnson has been in Robinson's ear about IU ever since he committed.

"That's an understatement," said Johnson's father, Robert Johnson Sr. "I will be real shocked if he chooses another school (other than IU)."

Last week, Robinson cancelled his official visit to Connecticut, which was scheduled to take place next weekend. The 6-foot-8 forward is a four-star prospect.

"I'm glad we have a chance," Johnson said of Robinson. "And I would be super hype if he joined me." Top Stories
