Suddenly, it's shaping up to be a big recruiting weekend in Bloomington.
Earlier in the day, 2014 five-star guard JaQuan Lyle said it was a "possibility" he will visit IU for Saturday's exhibition game against Southern Indiana. Now, it's confirmed that James Blackmon Jr., another 2014 guard and former Indiana commit, will be on campus this weekend.
Blackmon Jr., the 10th-ranked shooting guard in the class, was at Kentucky for Big Blue Madness last weekend. Indiana coach Tom Crean has never stopped recruiting Blackmon Jr., who decommitted back in July, and he will get the last shot at the top shooter in the class.
I am working to figure out if Blackmon's visit will be official or unofficial, but it really doesn't matter too much. What's important is that Crean and Co. are getting him on campus with a chance to convince him IU is the school for him.
As far as Lyle's visit, he told AllHoosiers.com it will depend on his practice schedule. If he gets a day off on Saturday, he plans to make the trip for an unofficial visit. Stay tuned.
