Indiana offered 2014 forward Max Hoetzel on Tuesday night, he told AllHoosiers.com.
Max Hoetzel, a 2014 forward from Wilbraham and Monson Academy in Massachusetts, has received a scholarship offer from Indiana, he told AllHoosiers.com Wednesday night.
Hoetzel, a 6-foot-7 forward who transferred to Wilbraham and Monson from California, is a strong perimeter shooter and could fit alongside Devin Robinson, if both chose to play for the Hoosiers.
Indiana coach Tom Crean visited Hoetzel at his school on Tuesday night. He first saw Hoetzel a few weeks ago while in Massachusetts to see center Goodluck Okonoboh, who also attends Wilbraham and Monson.
Hoetzel has recently heard from Florida, Kansas and others since transferring to the East Coast. He told AllHoosiers.com he will visit Bloomington either this weekend or next.
As we reported earlier, 2014 guard James Blackmon Jr. will already be on campus this weekend, and there's a "possibility" 2014 guard JaQuan Lyle will be as well.
