IU among four pursuing Bolden the hardest

The Hoosiers got in late on 2014 F Jonah Bolden, who will make his decision and sign in the spring.

Indiana is among the six finalists for 2014 forward Jonah Bolden, he announced Monday via Twitter. Bolden plans to start taking official visits soon, but can only visit a maximum of five schools.

Bolden's other finalists are Louisville, Kentucky, SMU, UCLA and USC.

Bolden is a native Australian who recently moved to the United States and currently attends Findlay Prep in Nevada, the same school Indiana freshman guard Stanford Robinson attended.

Bolden, a 6-foot-9, 190-pound forward, is the sixth-ranked power forward in the class and the 30th-ranked player overall.

Bolden told AllHoosiers.com he started talking to Indiana "just about a month ago" and speaks to the coaching staff on a nearly daily basis.

When asked what schools were recruiting him the hardest, Bolden listed: UCLA, SMU, Louisville and Indiana.

"Their style of play really fits my style," Bolden told AllHoosiers.com of Indiana. "I like the way they run in transition, the freedom to let us just play basketball, and the coaching staff."

Bolden said "it's an option" that he'll take an official visit to Bloomington soon. How soon?

"I'm not sure yet," he said.

Indiana signed guards James Blackmon Jr. and Robert Johnson, and forward Max Hoetzel in the 2014 class last week. Bolden is not near a decision and plans to announce and sign in the spring.
