Vonleh named B1G freshman of the week

Indiana forward Noah Vonleh has been named the Big Ten's freshman of the week following strong performances against Syracuse and North Florida last week.

For the third time in five weeks, Indiana forward Noah Vonleh has been named the Big Ten's freshman of the week.

Vonleh averaged 15 points and 8.5 rebounds in Indiana's split last week against No. 4 Syracuse and North Florida

Vonleh scored 17 points against Syracuse and followed that up with a 13-point, 11-rebound effort Saturday against North Florida. That was his Big Ten-leading sixth double-double of the season.

Indiana has two games this week beginning with Oakland University Tuesday night at Assembly Hall and concluding with a neutral site game against Notre Dame on Saturday in the Crossroads Classic at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
