As first reported by AllHoosiers.com, 2015 G/F Malachi Richardson will announce his decision at 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at his New Jersey high school.
Richardson is expected to choose Syracuse, sources tell Scout.com, but he is also still considering Indiana, Connecticut, Rutgers, Arizona and Villanova. Richardson, a five-star prospect, is the third-ranked small forward in the class.
Richardson has visited Bloomington multiple times, most recently for Hoosier Hysteria on Oct. 4. But his interest in the Hoosiers declined some after James Blackmon Jr. signed with Indiana.
Richardson is concerned with the number of wings Indiana has on its current roster, and a source told AllHoosiers.com that Syracuse's pitch to Richardson has been that he can fill Trevor Cooney's role when he arrives on campus in 2015.
