Gardner commits to Indiana

Indiana picked up its second football commitment in as many days as former Lawrence Central standout Tim Gardner has decided to play football at Indiana. This story will be updated.

Tim Gardner has decided to play his college football at Indiana University.

Gardner, who played at Lawrence Central, originally committed to Ohio State in the Class of 2013. Ultimately, however, he ended up at New Berlin (N.Y.) Milford Academy this past season.

When he re-opened his recruitment he was initially looking at a list of five schools that included Syracuse, Rutgers, Miami, USC or Ohio State. Eventually, Arizona, Penn State and IU got in the mix, too.

Thursday, he announced that he will attend Indiana. Gardner is a 6-4, 320-pound offensive lineman and a four-star recruit.

On Wednesday, Gardner's New Berlin Milford Academy teammate Jordan Fuchs, a 6-6 tight end, announced he would attend Indiana as well. Fuchs originally committed to Rutgers.
