James Blackmon Jr. had another big game on Friday afternoon, and he needed less than three quarters to do it.
The 2014 Indiana signee had 32 points in Marion's win over East Noble in Friday's first pool game of the Carroll Shootout in Fort Wayne. Blackmon Jr. didn't play at all in the fourth quarter -- his team was ahead by 36 points entering the fourth -- and he played less than 19 total minutes.
Blackmon Jr. was 9-of-13 from beyond the arc. In his five games this season, Blackmon Jr. has scored 54, 39, 37, 29 and 32 points. He's now averaging 38.2 points per game thus far this season.
Blackmon Jr. and Marion are back in action tonight against Homestead in another pool play game of the Carroll Shootout at 8 p.m. If Marion wins, it will play the winner of Pool C at noon tomorrow. Pool C consists of Dekalb (2-5), Hamilton Southeastern (6-) and Fort Wayne Blackhawk (3-3).
If Marion were to lose, it would play the second-place team from the same pool at noon tomorrow.
