IU women ranked No. 22 in nation

The unbeaten Indiana women's basketball team is ranked No. 22 in the nation this week. This marks the first time the Hoosiers have been ranked in the top 25 since 1993.

The Indiana women's basketball team's game with Purdue tonight may have been postponed because of weather but the Hoosiers got some heartwarming news instead.

IU, 14-0 overall and 1-0 in conference, has debuted at No. 22 in today's Associated Press women's basketball top 25 poll.

Reportedly, this is just the second time in history that the Hoosiers have been ranked in the top 25 and the first time since Jan. 19, 1993.

Indiana is one of five teams in the nation that are ranked in the top 25 that still have unblemished records. The others are No. 1 Connecticut, No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 11 Iowa State and No. 24 San Diego.

Indiana is one of four Big Ten teams ranked in the top 25 led by No. 14 Penn State. The others are No. 16 Nebraska and No. 21 Purdue.
