Indiana women's basketball player Larryn Brooks has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the week, the Big Ten announced on Monday.
It's the second time Brooks has earned the honor this season.
The Richmond, Ky. native scored 20 points in IU's win over No. 22 Iowa on Jan. 2 in the Big Ten opener. She made seven free throws in the final minutes to help seal the 86-84 victory. He also had a career-high nine assists and made three 3-point field goals.
Brooks has scored 20 points or more in five games this season. That total is tops for all Big Ten freshmen. She also leads the conference in frosh scoring.
