Scales one of 14 recruits at IU this weekend

Indiana had a total of 14 recruits from the class of 2014 on campus Saturday and they took in the IU-Northwestern basketball game. Six of the 14 were commits, all on the defensive side of the ball. Another top defender, Tegray Scales, was also in attendance.

On a day Saturday when Chicago St. Ritas ATH Tommy Mister gave his commitment to Indiana to play football for coach Kevin Wilson, the Hoosiers had 14 other 2014 prospects.

Six of them were players who have already given their verbal commitments, but eight are players that Indiana is still recruiting.

The six commits in attendance at IU's basketball game Saturday against Northwestern were all on the defensive side of the ball. They included DL Willy Yarbary, LB Airius Moore, LB Dameon Willis, DL Nick Carovillano, DL Jermane Conyers and DL Mike Barwick.

One of IU's biggest recruits in attendance was Tegray Scales, the linebacker from Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain. He was in Bloomington this weekend and is expected to visit Minnesota on an official next weekend before making his decision.

Others in attendance included OL Lukayus McNeil, LB DeMarquis Gates, LB Greg Gooch, CB Isaiah Wharton and ATH Christ Covington.

One other recruit, FS Trent Sherfield, was expected to attend but didn't make it.
