Indiana picks up football commit No. 19

Just a month after giving his commitment to Rutgers, CB Waynedriko Smith has flipped and committed to Indiana, according to Scout national analyst Allen Trieu.

Indiana football picked up its second commitment of the weekend Sunday when Waynedriko Smith, a cornerback from Orangewood Christian in Maitland, Fla. announced he would play at IU.

Scout national football analyst Allen Trieu announced the commitment on the premium message board.

Smith, a 6-1, 170-pound cornerback, had been committed to Rutgers. He gave his commitment there on Dec. 9. He also had offers from Cincinnati and Purdue.

Saturday, IU picked up a commitment from Chicago St. Rita athlete Tommy Mister.

That gives Indiana 19 commitments in this class and Kevin Wilson has said the Hoosiers will sign 24.

Smith is the second cornerback to commit to the Hoosiers. The other was Fort Wayne South's Donovan Clark.
