Seth Littrell leaving Indiana

It's official. Seth Littrell is leaving Indiana to become the offensive coodinator at North Carolina. IU coach Kevin Wilson released a statement Tuesday wishing Littrell well.

On the same day that Indiana announced it was hiring Brian Knorr as its new defensive coordinator on Monday, word got out that the Hoosiers would be losing their offensive coordinator.

Seth Littrell, who just completed his second season on Kevin Wilson's staff as the offensive coordinator, is leaving to take the same position at the University of North Carolina.

Wilson put out a statement about losing Littrell through IU media relations on Tuesday afternoon.

"We wish Seth, his wife Becca, and their family nothing but the best,'' Wilson said. "He was a strong addition to our staff the last two years and did a great job developing our offense.''

Wilson said the plan is to stay with five coaches on defense and four on the offensive side of the ball.

"I will continue to be a major part of our offensive game planning and play calling,'' Wilson said. "Kevin Johns will assume the responsibilities of offensive coordinator and James Patton, who I have a long history with on the offensive side of the ball, will coach the tight ends and fullbacks. We are comfortable with our staff heading into National Signing Day. We will complete the recruiting cycle and make our final hire in the weeks to come." Top Stories
