Hoosier Links: Jan. 28, 2014

In today's Hoosier Links we have stories about both the men and women's basketball teams as well as a story out of Nebraska that the Huskers' third-leading scorer has been dismissed from the team.

Every day, we'll take a quick look around the Indiana beat with a couple of stories that could be of interest to IU fans.

Here are the stories for Jan. 27, 2014

1. Evan Hoopfer of the Indiana Daily Student had this column today looking ahead at the remainder of IU's basketball schedule and beginning to predict how the Hoosiers will fare. He only had the next three games in today's column but has IU losing all three to Nebraska, Michigan and Minnesota. Myself, I actually think IU could win two of them but here are Evan's predictions. Rest of season predictions

2. Sam Beishuizen of the IDS has a story about how the IU women's basketball team is starting five freshmen. Think about that. That means, with IU's current men's lineup, the two Hoosier basketball teams are starting eight freshmen combined. Hoosiers experiment with all-freshmen starting lineup

3. And here's a story out of Thursday's opponent Nebraska, that the Huskers' third-leading scorer, according to sources, has been dismissed from the team. Husker guard Biggs dismissed from team 4.
