Six IU baseball players honored

Six Indiana baseball players were honored Monday by Baseball America. Four were listed among the top 50 Senior Prospects in the nation and two others, Kyle Schwarber and Sam Travis, were named preseason All-Americans.

The Indiana baseball season opens Feb. 14 with a four-game series against Texas Tech. In the meantime, one season after reaching the College World Series the Hoosiers continue to get their share of love at the national level.

On Monday, Baseball America recognized six IU baseball players. The publication tabbed Kyle Schwarber and Sam Travis as preseason All-Americans and listed Dustin DeMuth, Joey DeNato, Ryan Halstead and Casey Smith among its top 50 Senior Prospects.
