Indiana has 24 commits in the class of 2014 which leaves the Hoosiers one more slot to fill. There's always a chance there could be some last minute shuffling, but this is how the Indiana class looks today as recruits are able to begin faxing in their national letters of intent at 7 a.m.
In the last 24 hours, Indiana has picked up a commit, lost one who flipped, and may have had another one that will ultimately not be one of IU's 25. Here is a quick primer looking ahead to the players IU is expected to sign on Wednesday. This is an alphabetical list.1. Delroy Baker: Baker is a 6-6, 275-pound offensive tackle that is already on campus as he enrolled at the semester and will be eligible to participate in Spring football. Baker committed to the Hoosiers on June 21, 2013, making him the fifth commit in the class. He is from Ocala (Fla.) Westport. Before choosing IU, Baker also had scholarship offers from (alphabetically) Akron, Connecticut, Florida, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri, South Alabama, South Florida, Troy and the University of Central Florida. He is a 3-star recruit by Scout.com. 2. Mike Barwick: Barwick is a 6-1, 275-pound defensive tackle who was IU's first commit in this class. He committed back on June 2, 2013 out of Summit Country Day in Cincinnati, Ohio. Barwick had offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Kent State, Toledo and Western Michigan. He is a 3-star recruit by Scout.com. 3. Dominique Booth: Booth is a 6-foot, 190-pound wide receiver who is one of IU's two 4-star recruits by Scout.com in this class. Booth, from Indianapolis Pike, had a plethora of offers and came down to a final two of IU and Missouri. He also enrolled at the semester and is on campus and will compete in the Spring. Booth had offers from Alabama, Boston College, California, Cincinnati, Florida State, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin. He committed to IU on Jan. 7, 2014. 4. Nick Carovillano: Carovillano is a 6-4, 230-pound defensive end from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati. He committed to IU on July 19. Tim Gardner: Gardner's path to Indiana has been an interesting one. Out of Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, Gardner initially committed to Ohio State but things didn't work out there and he left after the summer. He went to Milford (N.J.) Academy Prep School where he played last year. The 6-4, 320-pound offensive lineman also entertained offers from Miami of Florida, Ohio State, Rutgers, Syracuse and Southern California before deciding to stay close to home and play for the Hoosiers. Scales chose the Hoosiers over offers from Ball State, Boston College, Cincinnati, Louisville, Marshall, Minnesota, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Western Michigan and Wisconsin. 22. Waynedriko Smith: We continue to list Smith as one of the 24 commits but a few other recruiting sites are no longer showing him as committed to IU. Sources couldn't confirm if he was or was not still being counted among IU's class so for now we'll keep him here but don't be surprised if that changes when the list is revealed later today.
