It has been a little while since I posted one of these blogs since we are now in the middle of basketball season, but have a few notes today so wanted to update all of you.
First, Indiana is targeting 2014 forward Marvin Clark of late, as first reported by Inside the Hall. Clark is a 6-foot-7 forward from Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas and is listed as a two-star in our system.
Clark excels as a perimeter shooter, just like the rest of Indiana's signed 2014 class. He also has quite the inspiring story, which has been documented on YouTube. The kid is a fighter, which is exactly the type of kid you want on your basketball team.
We'll have more on Clark as it is available, likely after his visit in a couple of weeks. For now, check out his story here.
I also checked in with Chris Goodin on Wednesday afternoon, the father of 2016 three-star guard Quentin Goodin. Chris said his son "really likes IU" and that Indiana has been in contact with the family more than any other school at this point.
"But other schools are coming hard," he said.
A Michigan assistant coach was in to see Goodin's triple-double performance in Kentucky yesterday. Goodin, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound point guard, is scheduled to visit Ohio State this weekend and hopes to visit Michigan soon. Those are the only two upcoming visits that have been scheduled at this point.
T.J. Leaf note
T.J. Leaf, a 2016 five-star forward from El Cajon, Calif., said he and the Indiana are still in contact "a whole lot." He said he might visit Indiana again for one of its final three home games, but nothing has been scheduled yet.
The Hoosiers offered Leaf back in September and he has already visited campus multiple times. He is one of Indiana's top targets in the 2016 class.
That's all for today. Thanks for reading.
