IU-Iowa game rescheduled for Feb. 27

Indiana and Iowa will makeup the postponed game from last Tuesday night on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 9 p.m. at Assembly Hall. The game will be televised on ESPN. That means the Hoosiers will be looking at four games in the next eight days beginning Saturday at Northwestern.

Indiana will have a busy week ahead following the announcement today that the Iowa game will be played Thursday, Feb. 27 at Assembly Hall.

Basically, it means that IU will play four games in eight days beginning with Saturday's 8:15 p.m. tip at Northwestern.

The Hoosiers will then travel to face Wisconsin on Tuesday, return home to play Iowa on Thursday and the play host to Ohio State on Sunday, March 2.

Other than moving the game until the week of the Big Ten Tournament, the Feb. 27 date was really IU's only option to makeup the Feb. 18 game with Iowa that was postponed because of a piece of metal that fell inside Assembly Hall.

The Feb. 27 game with Iowa will tip at 9 p.m. and be televised on ESPN.

IU athletic director Fred Glass said in a release by the university this morning that Assembly Hall will in essence have the all-clear by Feb. 27.

"Both our University and outside consulting engineers have advised us—and we in turn have advised the Big Ten—that the remediation of the problems at Assembly Hall will be 100 percent complete by early next week and that Assembly Hall will be safe and ready to host Thursday's men's basketball game without any limitations or restrictions," said Glass.
