As we reported yesterday, Indiana coach Tom Crean was on the recruiting trail to watch two 2014 forwards on Tuesday night.
Crean first stopped in Detroit to see Bloomfield Hills forward Yante Maten. Maten, a 6-foot-7 forward, had 31 points and 17 rebounds in a 74-68 win.
Maten has just recently come onto Indiana's radar. Crean was seeing him for the first time Tuesday night. As first reported by AllHoosiers.com, Indiana assistant coach Tim Buckley was in Detroit to see Maten on Monday night.
Michigan State has also shown late interest in Maten.
Crean also visited 2014 forward Josh Cunningham in Chicago suburb Joliet. Cunningham had 16 points and 15 rebounds in front of Crean as his Morgan Park team pulled out a 68-67 victory.
Indiana offered the 6-foot-7 Cunningham back in February, and he visited Indiana for the Ohio State game on March 2.
Both players are still alive in their respective state playoffs, giving the IU staff a chance to see them again in the near future.
