Indiana extended another early offer on Friday afternoon.
Tom Crean and the Hoosiers offered a scholarship to 2017 forward Michael Porter, who now plays high school basketball in Missouri. The 6-foot-8 Porter is an Indianapolis native and played on the Indy Hoosiers team that won a national title.
Porter is the fourth player from that Indy Hoosiers team to earn an Indiana offer already. Hamilton Southeastern's Zach Gunn, North Central's Kris Wilkes and Southport's Paul Scruggs (pictured) already own IU offers.
Crean and his staff are clearly trying to get in good with what looks like it will be a solid in-state class. So far, they have put themselves in solid position.
The Hoosiers have also recently expressed interest in Kentucky guard Peyton Gover, who plays AAU ball for the Louisville Lightning.
Gover doesn't yet own an IU offer, but said he hopes to visit campus sometime this summer. He has significant early interest in the Hoosiers.
"I would love to wear the candy stripes," he told AllHoosiers.com Friday. "Also, I love how they produce a lot of talent to the next level."
