Football Recruiting Update: April 2, 2014

Here are reports from national analysts on several Indiana football recruits including Indianapolis Ben Davis 4-star LB Asmar Bilal who was on campus Tuesday with his mother for a visit. It was his second time visiting Bloomington. He caught up later with's Anna Hickey.

Here are some stories involving Indiana recruiting targets from several of our Scout national analysts for Wednesday, April 2, 2014: 1. Anna Hickey posted a story late Tuesday talking to Indianapolis Ben Davis 4-star LB Asmar Bilal who spent Tuesday on the IU campus. He visited with his mother and it was his second visit to Bloomington. He plans to visit Northwestern on Thursday and potentially Notre Dame on Saturday. He also hopes to visit both Iowa and Wisconsin soon. LINK

2. Nathon Trawick, a DT from Richmond (Ind.) High School, was on campus for a visit Tuesday as well. While reporters spoke to IU offensive coordinator Kevin Johns, Trawick was touring the IU weight room. 3. Simone Scott had a report on Hunter Littlejohn, rated as one of the best linemen in Ohio out of Olentangy (Ohio) Liberty. Littlejohn was scheduled to take visits this week to IU, Michigan State and Cincinnati. LINK

4. Scott also had a report on Nick Conner, a LB from Dublin (Ohio) Scioto. LINK

5. Beaumont (Texas) Central ATH Michael Jacquet picked up his first Division I offer last week and it was from Indiana. He played quarterback last season, throwing for more than 1,400 yards and 24 touchdowns. He is being projected as a wide receiver in college. LINK

6. Dave Berk had a report on Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods OL Noah Listermann who visited IU on Saturday and Cincinnati on Sunday. Here is what he had to say about the visits. LINK

7. Patrick Burnham had an update on 2015 WR Christian Philpott out of Tallahassee (Fla.) North Florida Christian. LINK

8. Jamie Newberg reported that South Fort Myers (Fla.) High School cornerback Antwan Dixon is interested in Clemson, Georgia and Indiana but has yet to pick up his first offer. LINK
