Blackmon ready for tonight's McDonald's game

Indiana signee James Blackmon Jr. will play in tonight's McDonald's All-American game, which begins at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Tonight, Indiana fans can tune in for a glimpse at the future on IU basketball.

James Blackmon Jr., a 2014 Indiana signee, is part of the East squad in tonight's McDonald's All-American game, which begins at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.

"This week has been really fun," Blackmon Jr. said. "It's a great experience. I'm just trying to have fun with it because a lot of people don't get this chance to be here."

Blackmon Jr. is joined on the East squad by Kansas signee Cliff Alexander, unsigned Myles Turner, Duke signee Tyus Jones, Kentucky signee Karl Towns Jr., North Carolina signee Justin Jackson, Duke signee Justice Winslow, UCLA signee Kevon Looney, Seton Hall signee Isaiah Whitehead, Ohio State signee D'Angelo Russell, North Carolina signee Theo Pinson and Maryland signee Romelo Trimble.

Whitehead and Pinson were former Indiana targets.

For the West squad: Duke signee Jahlil Okafor, SMU signee Emmanuel Mudiay, Arizona signee Stanley Johnson, Kansas signee Kelly Oubre, Kentucky signee Trey Lyles, UNLV signee Rashad Vaughn, North Carolina signee Joel Berry, Kentucky signee Devin Booker, Duke signee Grayson Allen, Kentucky signee Tyler Ulis, Stanford signee Reid Travis and UCLA signee Thomas Welsh.

Lyles, of course, it the former Indiana commit. The Hoosiers will see Mudiay and SMU at Assembly Hall next season.
