It's now official: Noah Vonleh has declared for the NBA Draft.
Of course, you all knew that, but Vonleh officially announced the decision at a press conference on Thursday afternoon.
Vonleh said he has been told he's projected to be a lottery pick, but that nothing is guaranteed.
"You can get your dreams accomplished here, and that's a big thing," Indiana coach Tom Crean said. "We're proud of him."
Vonleh said he will have completed 43 percent of his degree requirements by the end of the spring semester. He still plans to take some credit hours this summer as of now because his degree is important to his mother.
"It's always been a dream of mine," Vonleh said. "I saw it was possible, so I thought, 'why not?'"
Vonleh has been resting a foot injury that has bothered him for months, and he said it has been feeling much better. He said he will begin workouts and conditioning when his foot feels 100 percent and sign an agent in the next couple of weeks.
Vonleh averaged 11.3 points and 9.0 rebounds in 26.5 minutes for the Hoosiers in his only season in Bloomington. He shot 52.3 percent from the field, 48.5 percent from beyond the arc and 71.6 percent from the foul line.
