Trey Lyles named Indiana Mr. Basketball

Indiana signee James Blackmon Jr. finished third in the voting.

Kentucky signee Trey Lyes was named Mr. Basketball in the state of Indiana on Tuesday. Lyles led Arsenal Tech to a Class 4A state championship, which was likely a deciding factor in the race.

Park Tudor's Trevon Bluiett finished second with 108 votes, nine behind Lyles. Indiana signee James Blackmon Jr. -- a McDonalds All-American -- finished third with 95 votes. Blackmon's Marion team failed to win a sectional, which likely hurt him in the voting.

Greensburg's Bryant McIntosh and Lake Central's Tyler Wideman also received votes. Top Stories
