Indiana visits BC transfer Anderson

Tom Crean took a trip to see Boston College transfer Ryan Anderson over the weekend.

Indiana coach Tom Crean paid a visit to Boston College transfer Ryan Anderson on Saturday afternoon.

Anderson, a native of Lakewood, Calif., averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game as a junior last season. He has one year of eligibility remaining but won't play next year because of shoulder surgery. He plans to play his final season in 2015-16.

Anderson has already scheduled an official visit to Indiana for May 5, but Crean wanted to stop in to show his interest. Plus, Crean was already in California to see 2016 forward T.J. Leaf, a big Indiana target.

"Coach Crean came to my house and we had a great talk today," Anderson told Inside the Hall on Saturday. "He talked about his plans to help me become a better player and how he thinks I will help the program win games."

Anderson will also visit Iowa State on May 2 and Arizona on May 8. The 6-foot-9 forward would really help Indiana, even though he can't play next season. Top Stories
