Latimer one of 30 invited to NFL Draft

Indiana's Cody Latimer has shot up draft boards in recent weeks, and will be in New York City for the NFL Draft.

As we've written about here several times in recent weeks, Indiana wide receiver Cody Latimer has shot up NFL Draft boards ever since his pro day.

Latimer has risen so far that he has been invited to attend the draft in New York City, the NFL announced Tuesday night. Latimer was one of 30 players and severn wide receivers invited to the draft.

When Latimer initially declared for the draft, he received a 3rd-round grade from the NFL Advisory Committee. But now Latimer is likely to be a first-round pick and, at worst, an early second-round pick. ESPN's Todd McShay has Latimer going in the first round and Mel Kiper Jr. projects he will go between picks 22 and 32.

Latimer's stock skyrocketed after he ran a 4.38 40-yard dash at his pro day in late March.

What an incredible climb by the former IU wide receiver. Top Stories
