Over the weekend, the Hoosiers defeated Illinois twice to take the series and improve to 13-2 in Big Ten play. IU is 8-1 in Big Ten road games this season. The Hoosiers beat Illinois on Friday 9-3, lost 2-1 on Saturday and bounced back to take Sunday's series finale 11-3 in a game called after 8 innings because of weather.
Minnesota also had three-game series sweep of Penn State in which the Golden Gophers only allowed one run in three games. Minnesota won on Friday 2-1, then swept a doubleheader on Saturday by shutout scores of 4-0 and 12-0.
Nebraska took the first two games of the Michigan series 6-4 and 3-1 before the Wolverines bounced back to win 7-5 on Sunday.
Iowa swept South Dakota State in a three-game series in non-conference action.

In a change of rules this season, the top eight teams in the Big Ten at the end of the conference regular season will quality for the Big Ten Tournament. In the past, it has been the top six teams.
