2016 guard Kyle Guy talks Indiana, recruiting

Kyle Guy, a 2016 guard from Lawrence Central, talked with AllHoosiers.com on Saturday. Read more to see what schools Guy is hearing from the most.

Kyle Guy has quickly grown into one of Indiana's top targets in the 2016 class.

Guy, a 6-foot-2 guard from Lawrence Central, has had a great spring so far and continues to pick up interest from around the country.

Indiana coach Tom Crean watched Guy play in Dallas three weekends ago.

Guy is a crafty guard who needs to get stronger, but has plenty of time to do so. He's quick to the rim, has an elite midrange game, and is a solid leader.

Because of his play, new schools continue to get involved with his recruitment.

"I've been talking to pretty much all the Big Ten, Vanderbilt, California, Louisville and Tennessee," Guy said.

Guy said he plans to take unofficial trips to Louisville and Xavier soon. The Cardinals got involved with guy after Kenny Johnson left Indiana and accepted an assistant coaching job on Rick Pitino's staff.

But Guy said his relationship remains strong with IU.

"I talked to coach Crean on the phone for about an hour a week ago," Guy said. "We just talked about developing my game and where things stand with them and stuff. They're still really high on my board, just like any other school."

In the two games I saw Guy play on Saturday, he excelled in transition, displayed a nice pullup game and was strong in attacking the rim. He's also a very good rebounder for his size.
