Indiana interested in 2016 guard Curtis Jones

The Hoosiers have expressed interest in Curtis Jones, who plays with Thon Maker and Team Loaded.

Curtis Jones, a 2016 guard from Paul VI Catholic in Virginia, has picked up some recent interest from Indiana, he told over the weekend.

Jones, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard, is the 38th ranked player in the 2016 class. He has a new recent offer from Maryland and has also picked up new interest from Texas. Jones also has offers from West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Virginia, VCU, Richmond and NC State.

"Indiana is a good school. I definitely am interested in them," Jones said. "I'm just really wide open right now."

Jones excels at attacking off the dribble and does a solid job of running a very talented AAU team (Team Loaded), which includes the top overall player in the 2016 class, big man Thon Maker.

Jones takes too many shots at times, but there's no doubt he's an elite prospect because of his unique ability to blow by defenders and get to the rim.

Jones said he expects to hear from Indiana when coaches are allowed to contact recruits on June 15. Top Stories
