Williams, a 6-foot-4 guard, is averaging 14.7 points per game in the Nike EYBL league this AAU season, the best scoring mark on his team. He's also hitting just under 46 percent of his shots from beyond the arc.
Indiana got involved with Williams in April after watching him at the first EYBL session in Sacramento.
Williams, a three-star prospect, also has offers from Virginia, VCU, Virginia Tech, Hofstra, Cincinnati, James Madison, George Mason, Minnesota, Memphis, Old Dominion, Robert Morris and William and Mary. He has also received interest from North Carolina.
Indiana has earned commitments from two kids from Virginia and the Boo Williams program in the last two years, scoring Troy Williams in the 2013 class and Robert Johnson in the 2014 class. Both players had offers from North Carolina, a Nike school with ties to the Boo Williams program, but both went with IU, an adidas school.
After Johnson committed in the fall, I wrote a column about the potential for a pipeline from Boo Williams to Bloomington. Could Williams be the third in three years? We will see.
