WR Blunt Is Piling Up Offers
Jacksonville (Fla.) Creekside High School wide receiver Rashad Blunt has received a flurry of scholarship offers over the last two weeks. The 6-foot-0 and 180-pound rising senior also received his first ACC offer, from Pitt, last Friday. "I received offers from Pitt and Georgia Southern. East Carolina has offered, Miami (OH), Temple, Troy, and Georgia State (have all offered since mid-May)," said Blunt of the offers he has received over the last two weeks. Blunt took particular pride in receiving an offer from an ACC because his father, Rodney Blunt, was an outstanding running back for Clemson in the early 1990's. "That was a great feeling. I was so happy when I got the offer. To get an ACC, with my dad having played in the ACC, I was so happy," explained Blunt who also camped at Miami (Fla.) this past weekend. Blunt also has an early top five out of the schools he has offers from but says there is no clear cut favorite at the time. "Right now out of the offers, my top five would probably be; Cincinnati, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Pitt and Troy," explained Blunt. Clemson, Iowa State, Indiana, Louisville, Purdue, Michigan State, South Carolina and South Florida have all also expressed interest in Blunt this spring. "Miami (Fla.), Indiana, Purdue and Michigan State," answered Blunt when asked which programs he had heard the most from that hadn't offered. Blunt plans on attending several more camps this summer. "I am going to camp at Clemson and I am probably going to try and visit Pitt but don't know if I will camp there. I also have the South Carolina camp," finished Blunt on his summer plans.
