Morgan recaps unofficial trip to Indiana

2015 forward Juwan Morgan was in Bloomington on Saturday. Find out how his visit went and get a complete update on his recruiting here.

Indiana got involved with 2015 forward Juwan Morgan a little later than some schools, but that hasn't hurt the Hoosiers with this top 100 prospect.

Morgan, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound forward from Waynesville, Missouri, took an unofficial visit to Indiana on Saturday and came away even more impressed with Indiana.

"It was good. The place was great and all the coaches were welcoming and fun to be around," Morgan told "We went around campus and I watched the players work out and play some. I talked with the academic advisor and athletic training people. Pretty much got to do everything and get a good feel for it."

Morgan said he met all of the current Indiana players except for incoming freshmen James Blackmon Jr., Robert Johnson and Hoetzel, who will arrive soon. Morgan said he spent most of his time hanging out with Yogi Ferrell, Stanford Robinson and Devin Davis.

"They were cool people," Morgan said.

Morgan said he talks to Indiana assistant Steve McClain 2-3 times a week and head coach Tom Crean once or twice a week. When asked what schools were recruiting him the hardest, Morgan listed these schools in order:

"Indiana, Washington, Vanderbilt, Northwestern and Creighton," he said.

Crean has had great success developing athletic forward like Morgan in the past, and he has a surplus of such players on the roster right now. Morgan, the 80th-ranked player in the 2015 class, said he excels in transition and in the midrange. He's also a very good rebounder and can run the floor at a high level.

"They say I would be an athletic forward that can do a little of everything for them because they don't really have that at the forward spot," Morgan said.

Indiana is also recruiting Morgan's MOKAN Elite AAU teammate, Shake Milton, who will be in Bloomington for an unofficial visit on Monday. Milton is also a top 100 prospect.
