6-foot-5, 220-pound rising senior Austin Dorris picked up what he's been hoping for Monday night, an offer from the Hoosiers.
"Indiana offered me," said Dorris. "It wasn't really a surprise because we've been in contact for a while. The coaches talked about how they wanted to really evaluate me and that they were going to offer me. They said they wouldn't have offered unless it was committable."
With his committable offer in hand, Dorris went ahead and accepted.
"I am committed to Indiana," said Dorris. "It's what's in my heart. I don't want to be anywhere else. Coach (Kevin) Wilson was the one that I talked to. He was fired up," he said.
The tight end says he could not be more excited about his future in Bloomington.
"I love everything about them. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I absolutely love the campus. There's not a thing that I'm not looking forward to."
Dorris says he doesn't plan on visiting or talking to any other schools.
So, what can Hoosier fans expect from the rising senior?
"A quality tight end that will represent Hoosier Nation and my family well," he said.
Dorris also held offers from Air Force, Buffalo, Kent State, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Ohio, Toledo, and Western Michigan.
