De'Ron Davis updates recruitment

2016 forward De'Ron Davis talked to on Thursday to update his recruitment. He's hearing from a few new schools. Find out who they are.

LAS VEGAS -- De'Ron Davis, a 2016 forward from Colorado, has taken a number of unofficial visits over the last couple of years. Of all the schools he's seen, Davis says Indiana has the nicest facilities.

But that's not even the thing Davis like most about IU.

"The way they develop kids is my main thing," Davis told "I talked to the weight training coach about how to make college players into NBA players. That's my main thing."

Indiana coach Tom Crean and assistants Steve McClain and Chuck Martin were all on hand at the adidas Super 64 in Las Vegas to watch Davis on Thursday.

"It's a blessing," Davis said. "It just shows that they're really interested and they really like my game."

Davis said he has picked up new interest from Duke, Louisville, Texas, Texas A&M and Ohio State. A Duke assistant and Ohio State coach Thad Matta and an assistant were in attendance as well.

Davis has also picked up recent offers from Wake Forest and Oregon. Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado and UCLA have already offered.

He doesn't have any visits scheduled at this time.

"I'm trying to get up to Louisville soon, but that's not for sure yet."

Davis, a 6-foot-10 forward and four-star target, is the 24th-ranked prospect in the 2016 class. Top Stories
