2015 guard McQuaid will visit Indiana

Matt McQuaid, a 2015 guard and SMU decommit, will visit Indiana, AllHoosiers.com has confirmed.

Matt McQuaid, a 2015 guard from Texas who decommitted from SMU last week, will take a visit to Indiana. Inside the Hall was the first to report the story and it was later confirmed by AllHoosiers.com.

McQuaid, one of the best shooters in the 2015 class, decommitted from SMU after top recruit Emmanuel Mudiay decided to forego college and play professionally in China instead.

McQuaid, the 83rd-ranked player in his class, is 6-foot-5 and 175 pounds.

“I’m going to take a visit to Indiana for sure,” McQuaid told Inside the Hall. “Probably an official. The atmosphere (there) I’ve heard a lot (about). It’s a basketball state. I’m really looking forward to seeing that. Coach Crean is a really good coach and it’s a great opportunity.”

McQuaid is also hearing from Texas, Michigan State, SMU, Creighton and LSU. He recently picked up an offer from Michigan State and plans to visit East Lansing in August.
