Indiana falls to Ottawa, 109-101

Troy Williams scored 27 points but Indiana dropped a 109-101 decision to Ottawa Sunday afternoon in the second game of the Canadian Foreign trip. The Hoosiers are now 1-1 and play Monday night in the third of five games on the trip.

The Indiana basketball team is now 1-1 on its five-game Canada trip following a 109-101 loss to Ottawa on Sunday afternoon at Champlain St. Lambert.

IU opened the trip on Friday night with a 110-70 victory over Laval.

The Hoosiers are back in action Monday night at 6 p.m. against Carleton. That will be the third of five games on the trip. Carleton is historically one of the best Canadian teams.

Some quick statistics, however , were that Troy Williams led the Hoosiers in scoring with 27 points on 12-of-16 shooting. James Blackmon Jr. had 20 points for IU on 8-of-14 shooting and Stanford Robinson had 16 points, hitting 7-of-10 shots.

As a team, IU hit 56.2 percent of its shots from the field (41 of 73) including 7-of-17 from 3-point range.

The game was tied at 88-all, before Ottawa closed the game on a 21-13 run. Top Stories
