Two 2014 recruits to visit Indiana

Classes start in just two weeks, but Indiana is not done recruiting in 2014. Here's the latest.

Classes at Indiana start in less than two weeks, but that doesn't mean Tom Crean and his staff are done recruiting in the 2014 class.

The Hoosiers will host two 2014 recruits on official visits in the next two weeks. The first is Ray Kasongo (pictured), a 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward from Lick Creek, Kent.

Kasongo was originally signed at Oregon, but he was denied admission there. The NCAA has ruled him eligible, meaning he can play this season. He has cut his list to just Indiana and LSU, and the Hoosiers are believed to be the favorite right now.

Kasongo received interest from Michigan State, Memphis, Kansas and others after he was denied entrance at Oregon, but he quickly limited his list because of his desire to play right away.

Kasongo will visit Indiana, likely beginning on Sunday and continuing into Monday. Getting a body like him would be a huge help for a team that needs as much as it can get on a thin front line.

The second visitor is Emmitt Holt, who will be in Bloomington on Aug. 19, per's Evan Daniels. Holt is a 6-foot-6 forward from New York. He also has offers from Vermont, Towson, Hofstra, Fairfield, Duquesne and Drexel.

Just when you thought it was a dead period in basketball recruiting, well, it got busy again. Stay tuned. Top Stories
