The 2014 recruiting class has been a very interesting one for Indiana.
The Hoosiers got James Blackmon Jr. and Trey Lyles very early, and both decommitted. Then Robert Johnson committed to IU over North Carolina, giving Tom Crean and the Hoosiers a much-needed recruit in 2014.
Blackmon Jr. chose Indiana again over Kentucky and others, and IU had two recruits in the class. Max Hoetzel also joined as a very good shooter, and then Indiana added Jeremiah April and Tim Priller in the late spring/early summer.
That much would be crazy enough. But Indiana is not done.
Crean and his staff are still very active, and Indiana will host two official visitors over the next two weeks that could join the Hoosiers this year.
As I wrote about earlier, those visitors are Ray Kasongo and Emmitt Holt. Kasongo is a 6-foot-9 big man who was ruled eligible by the NCAA but denied admittance to Oregon after signing there. He is down to just IU and LSU, and will visit Indiana likely beginning Sunday and continuing into Monday.
Holt is a 6-foot-6 forward in the 2015 class, but Indiana is recruiting him as a 2014 target. He has offers from mostly smaller mid-majors and will visit Indiana on Aug. 19.
Of the two, Kasongo would offer the most immediate impact for the Hoosiers simply because of his size and Indiana's lack thereof on its current roster. He wants to be able to contribute right away, and Crean can likely offer that at IU.
Holt, though I haven't watched much film on him, seems like more of a project, but also has decent size.
It remains a busy time for basketball recruiting, and as always, we will keep you posted here at AllHoosiers.com.
