IU closes out Canadian trip with 109-77 win

Indiana wrapped up the five-game Canadian trip Wednesday with an easy 109-77 win over the University of Quebec at Montreal. Troy Williams had 21 points and James Blackmon Jr. added 20 to lead six IU players in double figures.

Indiana closed out its Canadian preseason trip today with another convincing victory.

The Hoosiers defeated the University of Quebec at Montreal, 109-77.

IU closed the trip with a 4-1 record including three wins in a row in the last three days.

Troy Williams scored 21 points and James Blackmon Jr. added 20 in Wednesday afternoon’s victory over the Citadins.

Both Williams and Blackmon Jr. hit 8-of-12 shots from the field.

As a team, the Hoosiers made 42-of-69 shots, 60.9 percent. IU hit 62.2 percent of its shots in the first half.

Freshman Robert Johnson had 17 points including all four of the 3-pointers he attempted.

Yogi Ferrell had 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Freshman Max Hoetzel had 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting including two 3-pointers.

Stanford Robinson was the sixth IU player in double figures scoring with 10.

Devin Davis had four points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Hoosiers out-rebounded their opponent, 48-34.

IU led by nine after the first quarter but broke the game open in the second period when it had a 34-16 advantage to lead 58-31 at the half.
