Indiana has returned to the state of Georgia to pick up its 11th commit in the class of 2015. Andre Brown, a Athlete/safety from Decatur, Ga. has committed to play football at IU.
A year ago, Indiana picked up four players from the state of Georgia in the 2014 recruiting class.
Wednesday, IU picked up its first from that state in 2015 when Andre Brown chose to commit to Kevin Wilson and the Hoosiers.
Brown, a 6-foot, 180-pound Athlete/Safety from Decatur, Ga., is Indiana's 11th commitment.
He is the first, however, from a state other than Illinois, Indiana or Ohio.
Last season IU picked up four players from Georgia: Coray Keel, Robert McCray, Derrian Meminger and Kiante Walton.
Overall on the current IU roster there are nine players from Georgia. That's the fifth most of any state behind Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Florida.
The other Georgia players on the IU roster include Tim Bennett, David Cooper, Sean Damaska, Rashard Fant and Noel Padmore.
On his Twitter feed @Its_dre14 Wednesday night, Brown tweeted, "I am blessed to say that I have officially committed to Indiana University.''
Brown, a three-star athlete by Scout.com, also had interest from Minnesota, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina State and Syracuse. North Carolina State offered him in March.
