Indiana redshirt sophomore wide receiver Caleb Cornett will not be charged from an arrest early Wednesday for battery and disorderly conduct, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Cornett, a sophomore from Ben Davis, was arrested at 3 a.m. Wednesday morning after being involved in a fight on Kirkwood Avenue in downtown Bloomington.

IU coach Kevin Wilson said that Cornett had been suspended from all activities with the team indefinitely.

"We are aware of Caleb’s situation and take this matter very seriously,'' Wilson said in a statement released by the school. "At this time, Caleb is suspended from all team activities. Once we gather all of the facts and information, we will move forward accordingly.”

Cornett, will not be charged according to The Star, because the incident was deemed by the prosecutor’s office to be a “mutual combat scenario.”
