Halftime: Indiana 21, Indiana State 3

The Hoosiers lead ISU in their season opener thanks to a big half from Tevin Coleman.

Indiana leads Indiana State 21-3 at halftime in the season opener for both teams at Memorial Stadium.

Running back Tevin Coleman had a big half for the Hoosiers. He has 142 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, including a 73-yard touchdown scamper in the first quarter.

D'Angelo Roberts has added 74 yards and a score on 12 rushes for the Hoosiers.

The big surprise of the half: Quarterback Nate Sudfeld has attempted only four passes, and has completed only one. Sudfeld is expected to have a huge year as IU's clear cut No. 1 quarterback after Tre Roberson transferred to Illinois State.

Indiana's defense has played well to the point, allowing only 86 total yards in the first two quarters. The Sycamores scored their only three points in the first quarter after freshman J'Shun Harris fumbled a punt and gave ISU a short field. Cornerback Tim Bennett also committed a costly pass interference penalty on the drive.

The start of the game was delayed by 50 minutes due to lightning in the area. The stadium was cleared until the weather cleared up.
