IU Injury Report: Post-Indiana State

Here is the latest on injuries that have sidelined Dawson Fletcher, Wes Rogers, Anthony Corsaro (pictured) and Danny Friend. At least two of them should be back for Bowling Green and maybe three.

With an early bye in the schedule, AllHoosiers.com did not have our usual On the Mend feature on Tuesday updating Indiana football’s injury situation for the week.

With no availability on Monday it was difficult to update the injury front.

But here’s the latest following availability on Wednesday where Indiana coach Kevin Wilson gave a good indication of which injured players would likely be able to play when IU returns to the field Sept. 13 at Bowling Green.

The biggest news on the injury front was the simple fact that IU sustained no new injuries last week against Indiana State.

Here’s the latest on the four players who missed the Indiana State game with various injuries:

Dawson Fletcher: Wilson said Fletcher practiced Wednesday and is expected to play against Bowling Green.

Wes Rogers: Wilson said Rogers also practiced Wednesday and is expected to be ready for the Sept. 13 game against the Falcons.

Anthony Corsaro: Wilson said Corsaro is close but didn’t say for certain if he would be ready by Bowling Green. “We’re close on Corsaro at tight end because we need to get him back in the mix,’’ Wilson said.

Danny Friend: Friend, another tight end, is probably a week or two away according to Wilson with his ankle injury.
