Official Visit Recap: Juwan Morgan

2015 forward Juwan Morgan was on campus for an official visit this weekend. How did it go, and what's next for the top 100 prospect? Everything you need to know here.

UPDATE: Juwan Morgan has set an announcement date. The 2015 forward will announce his decision at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at his high school and will choose between Vanderbilt and Indiana. Morgan took official visits to both schools.

Juwan Morgan's official visit to Indiana is over, and a decision could be coming soon, he told AllHoosiers.com on Sunday.

Morgan, a 2015 forward from Waynesville, Miss., arrived in Bloomington on Thursday afternoon and left on Saturday evening. The 6-foot-8 prospect moved his official visit up three weeks.

Morgan, who has already taken an official visit to Vanderbilt, said he enjoyed his experience at IU.

"It was a lot of fun," Morgan told AllHoosiers.com. "I toured the campus and met a lot of great people around the program. It was crazy with the people stopping the basketball team and knowing exactly who they are everywhere we went."

Morgan hung out with Indiana freshmen Robert Johnson and James Blackmon Jr. for much of the visit. He didn't get a chance to see an Indiana football game as the Hoosiers had a bye week.

Morgan, a top 100 prospect, is still scheduled to visit Washington and Stanford, but he said he's unsure if he will end up making those visits. He told AllHoosiers.com that a decision will not come on Sunday, but there's a decent possibility one will take place this week.

If Morgan does announce his decision this week, he said he will do so in a press conference.

You'd have to think Morgan will choose between Vanderbilt and Indiana if he doesn't take any more visits. His AAU teammate, Shake Milton, will visit IU officially the weekend of Sept. 25-27.

As for whether he could see himself as a Hoosier, Morgan says he think he'd fit in well.

"I think I'd be a good fit in the way they get out in transition and the ball screen actions they do," Morgan said. "Their development of big men will play a huge factor [in my decision] because they develop their bigs in a great way. The last two they had were lottery picks."

We will continue to have updates on Morgan if anything new develops in the days to come.
