Daily Feature: On The Mend

Each Tuesday at 9 a.m. at AllHoosiers.com we take a look at Indiana's injury situation on what players potentially may not be available for the following game.

Every Tuesday at 9 a.m., AllHoosiers.com will have its ‘On The Mend’ feature that looks at Indiana injuries and how they could potentially affect the upcoming game of the week.

One of the positives that came out of the season-opening 28-10 victory over Indiana State two weeks ago was the fact that IU had no new injuries. That carried over into the bye week last week and the Hoosiers were able to use that time to get some previously injured players an extra week to heal.

All four of the players that missed the Indiana State are back this week. The question will be if they are back in game shape.

Two of them are tight ends – Anthony Corsaro and Danny Friend, one is an offensive lineman (Wes Rogers) and the other a safety (Dawson Fletcher).

In his weekly press conference Monday, IU coach Kevin Wilson addressed the injury situation.

“We had some minor deals in preseason and those guys are back practicing,’’ Wilson said. “I don't anticipate roles changing excessively, but some of those guys missed two or three weeks of preseason work.’’

Stay tuned next Tuesday for a new segment of ‘On the Mend.’ Tomorrow, AllHoosiers.com’s Ben Faunce will have our weekly ‘How They Fared’ feature that looks back at how Indiana recruits did in their games last week.
