Milton, a 6-foot-4 guard and a close friend of Morgan's, cancelled his scheduled visit to Illinois on Thursday, meaning his official trip to Indiana will be his final visit.
Milton told AllHoosiers.com back in June that there was a chance he and Morgan could be a package deal and that the two could end up at Indiana. Like Morgan, Milton is a top-100 prospect.
"He's my best friend so of course I want him to come to IU and play with me," Morgan told AllHoosiers.com on Wednesday night. "But I will be happy for him and support him regardless of where he goes."
"I will be trying to get him here though," he said, laughing.
I think Morgan's commitment makes Indiana the favorite to land Milton, but there is still something to consider. Indiana likely doesn't look exactly the same to Morgan and Milton because of the difference in position. The Hoosiers have a huge need in the post, and Morgan should have an opportunity to play right away.
But IU has a surplus of guards already, so Milton would have to fight to earn playing time.
I still think the Hoosiers will end up with Milton, especially if they blow him away on his official visit like they did Morgan, but that's just something to consider.
