Zimmerman, 6-foot-11 and 225 pounds, is the 14th-ranked player in the 2015 class and the 6th-ranked center.
Crean is getting the last of Zimmerman's seven in-home visits, so he'll get the last impression before Zimmerman begins his official visits in October. Zimmerman had in-home visits with UNLV on Sept. 9, Arizona on Sept. 10, North Carolina on Sept. 11, Kentucky on Sept. 13, Kansas on Sept. 15 and UCLA on Sept. 16.
As things currently stand, it will be difficult for Crean and Indiana to score one of Zimmerman's official visits. He has already scheduled visits to North Carolina (TBA), Kentucky (Oct. 17, Big Blue Madness) and Kansas (TBA), leaving only two official visits for the remaining four schools.
But Crean has always been a great recruiter, and the fact he has Zimmerman's final in-home visit has to be worrisome for some of the other coaches. I wouldn't put it past the IU coach to get Zimmerman on campus for a visit.

IU coaches watch open gyms
The Indiana coaching staff has been busy this week, traveling to watch recruiting targets in open gym settings. Tom Crean watched North Central's Kris Wilkes (2017), Southport's Paul Scruggs (2017) and Joey Brunk (2016) on Tuesday, and assistant coach Tim Buckley watched Kentucky guard Eli Wright (2016) on Wednesday night.
